Invoices

Balances and reminders on the job

Can I send invoices from my WordPress site as a photographer?

Yes. Mankai, a free WordPress plugin for photographers, lets you send invoices with a retainer and a balance, or a deposit plus monthly payments, and clients pay by card or PayPal from their portal. Turn on payment reminders and they go out before and after the due date, then stop once the invoice is paid.

Every Mankai invoice knows which job it belongs to. Retainers, remaining balances, due dates, and payment history live on the invoice and on the session, so “did the Reyes senior portraits get paid?” has a one-glance answer.

Clients pay without friction

Invoices open in the client portal with a Pay Now button connected to your own Stripe or PayPal account. A downloadable PDF is always there for the clients who want one for their records.

The list that runs collections for you

The invoice list shows outstanding, paid, and overdue at a glance, with reminder status right on the row. Overdue follow-ups can go out automatically through workflows, which means the awkward “just checking in on that invoice” email writes itself.

Invoice #1021 from Northlight Photography to Jessica Miller: one line, Family session, 1 hour, $450.00, a $450.00 total, a $150.00 retainer paid, and a $300.00 balance due October 21.

The invoice your client sees, as you build it. The retainer is counted, the balance is clear, and the client pays it from her phone.
