Mankai

Payments

Stripe and PayPal with no added fee

Can I take client payments on my website without a platform fee?

Yes. Mankai, a free WordPress plugin for photographers, sends card payments straight to your own Stripe or PayPal account and adds no percentage of its own, so you pay only their normal fees. Each payment lands on the right invoice and session, and you can record cash, checks and bank transfers by hand.

Card payments in Mankai run through your own Stripe or PayPal account at their standard processor rates. Mankai adds no percentage on top, because your session fees should not fund someone else’s growth metrics.

Every dollar lands on a record

Online payments record themselves against the right invoice and session automatically. Cash at the shoot, a check in the mail, or a Venmo transfer take a few seconds to record manually, and then they count in reporting like everything else.

One payment history

The payment records list is the studio’s ledger: searchable, filterable, and connected to the clients and jobs behind each transaction. Tax season stops being an archaeology project.

The Payment Records list of Northlight Photography: Stripe payments from Ashley Thompson ($100.00), Jessica Miller ($150.00), Chris Anderson ($150.00), Emily Johnson ($100.00) and Megan Carter ($186.00), and a $395.00 check recorded by hand for the Garcia family (listed as The Garcia family), each with its client and what it was for, plus Export CSV and Record payment buttons.
The Integrations settings: Stripe is connected and in use, so clients pay by card through the studio’s own Stripe account.
Paid into your own account. Card payments go to your own Stripe or PayPal account; cash, checks and transfers you record yourself, all in one list.
