What it does

Mankai is a WordPress plugin. You install it on a WordPress site you control, and your clients, sessions, invoices and galleries are stored in that site's own database, not on a server of mine.

The staff app, the client portal and the booking page all run on your own site and your own domain. Mankai works with the theme you already have.

How Mankai works with WordPress

You upload the plugin in WordPress like any other plugin and run the setup wizard. From then on Mankai is part of your site: it adds its own staff app, a client portal and a booking page, and it adds blocks and widgets you can place on your pages.

Deactivating or deleting the plugin does not delete your data, unless you turn on Delete all CRM data too in Settings, System Health. It is off by default, and files in your Media Library are kept either way.

Good to know

Needs WordPress 6.4 or newer and PHP 8.1 or newer. Below that, the plugin stays inactive.
Built and tested for single WordPress sites. Multisite is not supported.
You look after your own hosting, backups and updates. Mankai does not host your site.
Email, card payments and website numbers each rely on something you connect: a mail plugin, Stripe or PayPal, and Koko Analytics.

How to set up

Download the plugin from the Try for free page. Do not unzip it.
In WordPress, open Plugins, then Add Plugin, then Upload Plugin, and choose the file.
Press Install Now, then Activate Plugin.
Choose the Free version, or enter your Pro key. Mankai then opens its setup wizard.

What does Mankai need to run on WordPress?
