What it does
Stripe takes card payments. Connect your own Stripe account to Mankai and clients can pay a booking deposit or an invoice by card, and pay for print orders from your galleries.
The client pays on a checkout page hosted by Stripe, then lands back on your site. The money goes to your own Stripe account, and Stripe's normal processing fees apply.
How Mankai works with Stripe
You add your Stripe keys and a webhook address in Settings, then Integrations. The webhook is how Stripe tells Mankai that a payment went through, so Mankai can mark the invoice paid and confirm a paid booking right away.
Without the webhook's signing secret, bookings paid by card update only on a check that runs every three hours.
Practice in Test mode with Stripe's test cards, then switch to Live.
Good to know
- One payment processor takes payments at a time. You choose Stripe or PayPal, not both.
- One currency per processor. Mankai does not convert currencies.
- Mankai does not save cards or charge them automatically. Your client pays each payment.
- Tips work through Stripe only, and need an active Pro licence.
