FluentSMTP
Made by WPManageNinja Get my email working
Send your invoices, reminders and replies through a real email service.
In Mankai: Free
What it does
Email that a website sends on its own often lands in spam, or never leaves. FluentSMTP is a free WordPress plugin that sends your site's email through an email service you connect, such as Brevo, SendGrid, Amazon SES, Mailgun, Postmark, Gmail or Outlook.
Mankai sends booking confirmations, invoices, reminders and replies as email, so it needs a mail plugin that is set up. FluentSMTP is the one I recommend.
How Mankai works with FluentSMTP
Mankai never installs FluentSMTP and never changes its settings. It adds a FluentSMTP step to the setup wizard and a card in Settings, Integrations that shows whether a mail plugin is set up, and it links to FluentSMTP's own screens.
In Settings, Email delivery, you can send yourself a test email and read Mankai's delivery log, which shows how each email went.
If another mail plugin already sends your email, Mankai works with that one and does not ask for FluentSMTP.
Good to know
- Mankai sends email, and does not read your inbox. Clients reply inside the portal, in Messages, not by email.
- Mankai depends on an email service you set up. Without one, email from your site may not arrive.
- Reminders and other scheduled emails run on your site's scheduler, so their timing is best effort.
- The email service you connect has its own terms and limits.
How to set up
Before you start
- An email address at your own domain, or a Gmail or Outlook account
- FluentSMTP installed and activated
- In WordPress, open Plugins, then Add Plugin, search for
FluentSMTP, and install and activate it. - Open FluentSMTP's settings and add a connection. Pick your email service and paste its API key, or sign in where it asks.
- In Mankai, open Settings, then Email delivery, and send yourself a test email.
- When the test arrives, you are done.
