Chapter 1 · Install Mankai

Install and activate Mankai

About 5 minutes

You install Mankai like any other WordPress plugin: upload the file, then turn it on.

Have this ready

  • The mankai-crm.zip file you downloaded. Don't unzip it.

Step by step

Get there

  1. In WordPress, press Plugins.

  2. Press Add Plugin.

Set it up

  1. Press Upload Plugin.

  2. Press Choose File and pick mankai-crm.zip.

  3. Press Install Now. It can take a minute.

  4. Press Activate Plugin.

Free version

  1. Mankai asks for a license key. You don't need one. Press Activate Free Version at the bottom. Mankai then opens its setup wizard.

Pro license

  1. Paste the license key from your purchase email, then press Activate License. Mankai then opens its setup wizard.

You're done when

Mankai CRM is in your WordPress menu. Next up: the setup wizard.

If something's not right

The upload fails, or says "The link you followed has expired"

Your host limits upload size. Ask them to raise it to 64 MB. The hosts on the recommendations page already do.

It says I need a newer version of PHP

Mankai needs PHP 8.1 or newer. Your host can switch it for you. See Before you install.

I don't see Upload Plugin

Sign in as an administrator. If it's still missing, your host may have turned uploads off; ask them.
