Chapter 3 · Find your way around

A quick look around

About 4 minutes

Mankai has one bar across the top, and every screen you will use opens from it. Nothing in this lesson changes anything, so click around as much as you like.

Mankai only shows the parts you switched on in the wizard, so your bar may have a menu or two fewer than the pictures.

Step by step

Get there

  1. Sign in to your website. Mankai opens on Overview.

  2. From any other Mankai screen, press Overview to come back here.

The main menus

  1. Look at the bar across the top. Each name opens one part of your studio.

  2. Move your mouse over Sessions. Your bookings, Calendar and Session Types are here.

  3. Move your mouse over Clients. The people you work with and your Messages are here.

  4. Press Galleries. It has no menu, so it opens your list of client galleries.

  5. Move your mouse over Money. Your invoices, payments and money review are here.

  6. Move your mouse over Print Shop. The prints clients buy and the products you offer are here.

  7. Move your mouse over Studio. Your forms, templates, files and website tools are here.

The buttons on the right

  1. Press the magnifier at the top right.

  2. Type a client's name, such as Jessica, and press the result to jump straight to it.

  3. Find the gear next to the magnifier. It opens Settings, which the next lesson walks through.

You're done when

You have opened every menu in the bar and you know where search and Settings are. Whenever you get lost, press Overview. Next, Where settings live.

If something's not right

The WordPress menu is missing, or it is showing and Mankai looks different

Mankai fills the whole screen by default. Press the button with the arrows next to the gear to show the WordPress menu, and press it again to hide it. With the menu showing, Mankai CRM in it brings you back here.

A menu from the pictures is missing from my bar

Mankai only shows what you switched on. Open Settings, then General, and use the Features card to turn Client galleries or Print shop back on.

I pressed a name and landed on a screen instead of a menu

That is fine. Pressing a name opens its first screen. Move your mouse over the name instead to see its menu.
