Chapter 3 · Find your way around

Where settings live

About 4 minutes

Settings is where you change how Mankai works for your whole studio. You do not need to change anything now. This lesson shows where each group lives, so later lessons feel familiar.

Step by step

Get there

  1. Press the gear at the top right of Mankai.

  2. Settings opens on General, which holds your studio name, email, time zone and logo.

Your studio and your clients

  1. Press Client Access, then Client portal. Your client portal, login page and website addresses are set here.

Booking and money

  1. Press Booking, then Availability. Set your weekly hours here. Booking page and Golden hour sit beside it.

  2. Press Billing & Tax, then Tax & currency. Set your sales tax and currency here.

  3. Press Integrations. Connect PayPal or Stripe to take payments, and set up calendar sync, FluentSMTP and Koko Analytics.

Galleries, email and reviews

  1. Press Gallery, then Image protection. Your watermark and copy protection are here, with upselling, print shipping and uploads beside it.

  2. Press Communications, then Email delivery. Your email setup is here, with the delivery log and live chat beside it.

  3. Press Testimonials, then Thank-you reward. Reward clients who leave a testimonial here. Google review sits beside it.

Looking after your data

  1. Press System Health. Diagnostics checks that Mankai runs well, and Data management controls what happens to your data.

  2. Press Import to bring in a client list from another system as a CSV file.

You're done when

You know where each Settings group lives. Next, put Mankai on your phone and computer (Mankai Pro), or skip to email that reaches your clients.

If something's not right

I pressed a group and nothing opened

Groups with a small arrow open a short list of pages under their name. Press one of those pages to open it. General, Integrations and Import open straight away.
