Mankai widgets in Elementor

Elementor is a free plugin that lets you build pages by dragging pieces onto them. Mankai adds its own pieces, called widgets, such as your session packages.

This lesson installs Elementor and adds a page that shows three of your session types with a Book now button.

Step by step

Get there

  1. Press the small arrows button next to the gear. It shows the WordPress menu.

  2. Press Plugins.

  3. Press Add Plugin.

Install Elementor

  1. Type Elementor in the search box.

  2. Press Install Now on the Elementor Website Builder card.

  3. Press Activate.

  4. Elementor opens a setup screen you do not need. Press the × at the top right to close it.

Make a page

  1. Press Pages in the WordPress menu.

  2. Press Add Page at the top.

  3. Click Add title and type Our Sessions.

    If a box called Choose a pattern opens first, press its × to close it.

  4. Press Edit with Elementor at the top.

Add the Mankai widget

  1. Type Mankai in Search Widget on the left.

  2. Drag Mankai Packages onto the dotted area on the page.

  3. The widget appears on the page, with its settings on the left.

    The sentence on the page is only for you, while you edit. Visitors never see it.

  4. Open the Source list and choose Chosen session types.

  5. Click the Session types box and pick Portrait Session, Mini Session and Family Session.

  6. Your three session types appear as cards, with prices and a Book now button.

Publish the page

  1. Press Publish at the top right.

  2. The Publish button turns grey. That means your page is live.

  3. Press Have a look in the box at the bottom left.

  4. Visitors see your session cards in your theme's look.

You're done when

Your Our Sessions page is live, and the cards update when you change a session type in Mankai. Elementor stays installed for your next page.

If something's not right

I do not see Mankai widgets

Mankai needs Elementor 3.18 or newer. Update Elementor under Plugins, then open the page again.

Elementor shows an Upgrade Now note

That is an offer for Elementor Pro. The free Elementor and the Mankai widgets work without it.

Can I add the inquiry form too?

Yes. Search for Mankai again and drag Contact Form onto the page.
