Write a blog post

A blog post helps clients, and search engines, find your studio. Mankai has its own blog editor, so you write the post without leaving Mankai.

This lesson writes a short post about getting ready for a fall mini session.

Have this ready

  • A photo for the top of your post, about 2000 pixels wide.

Step by step

Get there

  1. Move your mouse over Studio in the top bar.

  2. Press Blog.

Write the post

  1. Press + New post at the top right.

  2. Type your headline in Title at the top left.

  3. Click the white page and write your post.

Add a photo

  1. Press Add featured image on the left.

  2. Press Select Files and choose your photo.

  3. Press Use image at the bottom right.

Publish it

  1. Open Status and choose Published.

  2. Press Save changes at the top right.

  3. Mankai says Saved successfully, and the label under your headline turns to Published.

  4. Press Cancel and go back at the top left.

    Your changes are already saved, so nothing is lost.

  5. Press View on your post.

  6. Your post is on your website, with its photo at the top.

You're done when

Your post is published on your website. Write the next one the same way.

If something's not right

I want to save a draft first

Leave Status on Draft and press Save changes. Choose Published when you are ready.

How do I add a category?

Open the Taxonomy tab on the left and tick a category.

Can I add more photos?

Yes. Press + Image above the page for one photo, or + Gallery for several.
