Chapter 7 · Booking

Set up golden hour

About 4 minutes

Golden hour is the soft light just after sunrise and before sunset. Mankai shows it on your calendar, worked out for the place you choose here.

Step by step

Get there

  1. Press the gear icon at the top right.

  2. Press Booking.

  3. Press Golden hour.

Set it up

  1. Click Name and type what you call the place, such as Maple Street Studio.

  2. Click Address, type your city or a full street address, then press Save settings at the top right.

    Mankai looks the place up for you when you save.

  3. Check that Latitude and Longitude now have numbers in them.

  4. Move your mouse over Sessions and press Calendar. Point at a day and press its small sun.

  5. Read the box that opens: sunrise, sunset and the golden hour times for that day.

You're done when

Every day on your calendar can now show its golden hour. A session that has its own address uses that address instead.

If something's not right

Latitude and Longitude stay empty

Mankai could not find the place you typed. Try a nearby city, or type the numbers yourself. You can copy them from a map.

Does golden hour change which times clients can book?

No. It is only there to help you plan your sessions. Your booking times come from Set your studio hours.
