Chapter 7 · Booking

Booking collections

About 5 minutes

A booking collection is a page on your website for one offer, such as holiday mini sessions. Mankai holds the words, the price and the session types on it, and a page builder such as Elementor Pro lays it out.

This lesson is optional. Skip it unless you use a page builder. On screen, collections are called Session groups.

Have this ready

  • The Mini Session that comes with Mankai (20 minutes, $150). To make your own, see Make a session type.

Step by step

Get there

  1. Move your mouse over Sessions in the top bar.

  2. Press Booking Collections.

Set it up

  1. Press + Add Session Group at the top right.

  2. Type Holiday Mini Sessions in Title and $150 in Starting price.

  3. Press the Copy tab, then write one or two sentences in Summary.

  4. Press the Packages tab, then press Add a package.

  5. Choose Mini Session from the list.

    A package is a session type from your booking page. Clients can pick it from this collection.

  6. Go back to the Details tab and turn on the switch beside Unpublished.

    It changes to Published.

  7. Press Save changes at the top right. When the green Saved note appears, press Close at the top left.

  8. Look at the list. Holiday Mini Sessions has a green Published label.

You're done when

Holiday Mini Sessions is published and on your list. Once a page builder such as Elementor Pro is on your site, it can show this collection as a page.

If something's not right

Where is the page on my website?

Mankai does not draw it. Your page builder shows it, so without one the View button has nothing to open. See Designing the rest of your website.

Do clients still book on my booking page?

Yes. Your booking page works with or without a collection.
