Chapter 11 · Money
Money review
Money review answers the questions you ask at the end of a good (or slow) month: what came in, what you kept, what is selling, and who still owes you.
It reads the payments you take and the expenses you track, so you never have to build a report yourself.
Step by step
Get there
Press Money in the top bar.
Choose Money review under Bookkeeping.
Set it up
Near the top, choose 30 days, 3 months or 12 months to change how far back the page looks.
Scroll to Money in. Each green bar is a month, so you can see your busy and quiet seasons.
Scroll to In and out. Red bars are what you spent, and the list below says which costs were biggest.
Scroll to What's selling to see which kinds of session bring in the most.
Scroll to Who's paying to see the clients who paid you the most.
Scroll to How clients pay to see how much came in by transfer, check, card and cash.
Scroll to Still to come in for what clients owe you, and which invoices are late.
To chase a late one, see Remind a client about a late invoice.
At the bottom, choose a month, quarter or year under Reports to keep and press Download PDF.
Press CSV instead if your accountant wants a spreadsheet.
You're done when
You know where the money comes from and where it goes. The report downloads straight away, ready for your accountant.
If something's not right
My numbers look too low
Money review counts the payments recorded in Mankai. Record cash, checks and transfers as they arrive, as shown in Record cash, a check or a transfer.
Where do the expenses come from?
From the expenses you add under Money, then Expenses. Adding expenses is part of Mankai Pro.
