Chapter 10 · Print shop
How a client orders prints
This is what your client sees. Heather Collins has her portrait gallery, and she orders two prints from it.
Prints are offered in a gallery that is delivered and has Print ordering on. Delivering a gallery switches it on.
Step by step
Get there
Your client signs in and presses Open on Your photos are ready.
She presses Open gallery.
Choosing prints
She points at a photo and presses the printer button.
She chooses a size, such as 10 × 8 in.
This is your 8x10, shown the way a wide photo is held.
She leaves Luster and No frame as they are and presses Add to cart.
For a second photo she chooses Matte, Black wood and two copies. The total changes as she picks.
She presses Add to cart, then View cart.
Checking out
She checks the prints in her cart. − and + change a quantity, and the small x removes a print.
She types her shipping address.
Your note from Choose how prints ship shows above the address.
She presses Checkout with PayPal. If you take cards through Stripe, the button says Checkout with Card.
A secure payment page opens and she pays there. Mankai never sees her card number.
After she pays, she is back in her gallery with a message that her order was placed.
The amount includes sales tax.
Where you see the order
In the top bar, point at Print Shop and choose Print Orders.
Her order is at the top of the list, under New orders.
Open it to see who ordered, where it ships, and each print with its size, finish and frame.
You're done when
Heather's order is in Print Orders, paid, with the status New. Next, fill the order.
If something's not right
The printer button is missing from a photo
Check that the gallery is delivered, that Print ordering is on under Client options in the gallery, and that your print shop says Active on Products.
Where does my client see her order afterwards?
On her portal home, under Print order. She can press Track print orders in the gallery too.
