Chapter 10 · Print shop
Set up your print products
A print shop is the list of prints your clients can order from their gallery: the sizes, finishes and frames you sell, and what each one costs.
Mankai takes the order and the payment. You send the photos to your print lab, or print them yourself, and ship them on.
Have this ready
- Your print lab's price list, so you know what each size costs you.
Step by step
Get there
In the top bar, point at Print Shop.
Choose Products.
Set it up
Press Add print shop at the top right.
Describe the shop
Type a name under Name, such as Northlight Fine Art Prints.
Your clients see this name in their gallery.
Under ETA, type how long delivery takes, such as 7-10 business days.
Press Add image, choose a photo that shows your prints, then press Use image.
Sizes and prices
Press Common sizes and choose a size. Do this again for each size you sell.
For another size, press Add size and type it in inches. A wide photo shows 8x10 to the client as 10 × 8 in.
Type your price for each size under Price.
A size is On until you switch it off. Switch a size off to hide it from clients without deleting it.
Finishes and frames
Press Add finish and type a name, such as Luster. Add Matte and Metallic the same way.
Under Extra, type what a finish adds to the price, such as 6.00 for Metallic.
Leave Extra empty for a finish that costs the same as the size.
Press Add frame, then type its name and Extra price, such as Black wood and 40.00.
Color and Preview border only change how the frame looks in your client's preview.
Save it
Press Save at the top right.
Press Close. Your print shop is on Products with a green Active label.
You're done when
Your print shop is on the Products list with a green Active label. Next, choose how prints ship.
If something's not right
What is Base for?
Base adds the same amount to every print, such as a flat packaging fee. Leave it empty if you do not need one. A print costs Base plus its size, finish and frame prices.
My clients do not see the prints
Check that the shop says Active and has at least one size that is On with a price. Prints are only offered in galleries that are delivered and have Print ordering switched on.
How do I change a price later?
Open the shop from Products, change the Price or Extra, then press Save. Orders already placed keep the price the client paid.
