Chapter 9 · Galleries
Make a client gallery
A gallery is where your client sees their photos. You make it from their session, so Mankai already knows who it belongs to.
The examples here use a holiday mini session for Matt Adams.
Have this ready
- The photos from the session, as JPG files on your computer.
Step by step
Get there
In the top bar, press Sessions.
Press Past for sessions that have already happened.
Press the session you want a gallery for.
Set it up
Press Create gallery on the Client gallery card. The gallery opens with no photos yet.
Press Add photos at the top right.
Choose your photos in the window that opens. A box in the corner counts them as they upload.
Stay on this page until the box says all files were added. A slow connection only makes it take longer.
Point at the photo you want as the cover and press its star.
Press Gallery on the left, then type a name for the gallery in Title.
Leave Gallery mode on Proofing first so your client can pick favorites, then press Save.
Choose Finished photos only when there is nothing to pick from, such as a gallery of edited photos you are sending straight away.
You're done when
Your gallery is saved with its photos, and your client cannot see it yet. Next, protect your photos.
If something's not right
Create gallery is missing on the session
A session only ever has one gallery. If it already has one, the card shows that gallery instead, and you can open it from there.
A photo did not upload
Galleries take JPG, PNG, WEBP and TIFF files. The upload box tells you which file was turned away and why, and Try again sends it again.
How many photos can my client pick?
As many as the session includes, ten for this mini session. To give one client more, open Gallery on the left and set Selection limit.
