Chapter 15 · Keep it running
Look back at what happened
Activity is the diary of your studio. It lists everything that happened, newest first: bookings, payments, signed contracts, messages, and the emails Mankai sent for you.
Open it when you wonder who signed, who paid, or whether a reminder went out. You only read and filter here, so nothing you press changes your studio.
Step by step
Get there
In the top bar, move your mouse over Studio.
Press Activity, in the middle column under Workflows & files.
Set it up
Read the list from the top. The newest event comes first, with who did it and what happened.
Find one kind of event
Press Kind at the top of the right-hand column.
Choose Money.
The list now shows only payments, invoices and late-payment notes.
To clear a choice, open the same menu and press the highlighted choice again.
Find one person
Press Who. Automatic means Mankai did it on its own, such as sending a reminder.
Under About a client, type a name such as
Amyand press her name.Press Open at the end of a row to go to the invoice, session or message it is about.
The session behind that payment opens.
Look at a date range, or take a copy
Press When and pick a range such as Last month, or choose your own days in the calendar.
Press Export CSV to download the rows on screen as a spreadsheet.
It saves what the list shows right now, so choose your filters first.
You're done when
You can narrow Activity by Kind, Who and When, and you know that Open takes you to the record behind a row.
If something's not right
A client says they never got my email
Choose their name under Who, then look for the line that says an email was sent to them, with the day and time. If it is there, ask them to check their spam folder. If email is not reaching anyone, see Send a test email.
I cannot find Activity in the menu
It is under Studio, in the middle column below Files. Only people with an administrator login see it.
Can I search for a word?
Yes. Press the magnifier next to Export CSV and type a name or a record, then press Enter.
