Diagnostics

Diagnostics is Mankai's health check. It tests your website, your hosting, your email and Mankai's scheduled jobs, and shows each result as OK, Warn or Fail.

Open it first whenever something feels off, such as an email that never arrived or a reminder that did not go out. It also makes the report that support asks for.

Step by step

Get there

  1. Press the gear at the top right of Mankai.

  2. In the list on the left, press System Health.

  3. Press Diagnostics.

Read the results

  1. Look at the bar at the top. It counts how many checks are OK, how many show a Warn, and how many Fail.

    A Warn is a heads-up, not a failure. Here it only means PayPal is not set up, which is fine if you use Stripe.

  2. Read Environment. Your PHP version, WordPress version and memory limit should all say OK.

  3. Scroll down to Filesystem and Routing. Photo uploads and your client portal address depend on these.

Check that email and reminders work

  1. In Integrations, find Email. It should say sent by FluentSMTP.

  2. Press Test connection beside Email. A green OK and a short sentence appear under it.

    This checks the connection and sends no email. To send a real one, see Send a test email.

  3. Scroll to Scheduled tasks running and Notification queue. They show that your reminders and emails are going out on time.

    The last run should be recent, and the queue should say clear.

Get help

  1. If a screen looks out of date after an update, press Force refresh at the top right. It loses no data.

  2. To ask for help, press Copy report, then paste it into your message to support.

    The report lists your checks and your Mankai version. It holds no client details.

You're done when

You can read each check as OK, Warn or Fail, test your email connection, and send support a report with Copy report.

If something's not right

PayPal or Stripe shows a Warn

That only means card payments are not connected yet. If you want to take cards, see Connect Stripe or PayPal. If you do not, you can ignore it.

Email does not say sent by FluentSMTP

Mankai cannot see a mail plugin sending your email. Follow Install FluentSMTP and connect your email, then open Diagnostics again.

It says traffic-driven beside scheduled work

That means reminders go out when someone visits your site. For exact timing, ask your host to run a real scheduled job. See What to ask your host for.
